At MaraLyn therapy we value creating an emotionally safe space for our clients.

With over 30 years of experience we recognize that empowering our clients to self-reflect helps build confidence and assertiveness.  We work diligently to create a calm, mindful and grounding experience in our sessions. We recognize that each person is unique hence we use therapeutic approaches that best meet our client’s needs.  In our individual sessions, couple’s sessions and family sessions we specialize in promoting positive change, growth, and self-awareness to help improve quality of life.

MaraLyn Therapy is co-founded by Maral Malekian LMFT and Lynda Herrera LMFT. Maral Malekian has worked as a therapist since 2005 serving children, adults, couples and families.  Her primary work has been helping clients process traumas.  She later went on to become a clinical supervisor and began working one on one with clinicians who served high risk populations.  Maral is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is nationally certified in TFCBT. Maral has provided trainings to clinicians in the work around trauma and complex trauma. Maral Malekian works in the area of anxiety related symptoms and incorporates self-worth and self-love talk in her sessions. Lynda Herrera LMFT started her journey over 30 years ago working with domestic violence groups and high risk communities.  Lynda is certified in working with high risk and suicidal populations.  Lynda also has experience working with men’s domestic violence groups and is well versed in substance use and addiction. Lynda primarily works with children, adolescents, and their families by utilizing different play techniques. Lynda is also a supervising clinician and continues to supervise clinicians, strengthening the clinician’s therapeutic skills.

Together Maral and Lynda have created MaraLyn Therapy in efforts in creating a safe, multicultural environment in their practice and strive to provide advocacy to the clients we serve.
