At MaraLyn therapy we value creating an emotionally safe space for our clients.

With over 30 years of experience, we understand that meaningful growth begins with self-reflection. By guiding our clients to explore their thoughts and experiences, we help foster confidence, clarity, and assertiveness. Our approach is rooted in creating a calm, mindful, and grounding environment where clients feel safe, supported, and heard. Because every individual is unique, we tailor our therapeutic methods to meet each client’s specific needs and goals. Whether in individual, couples, or family sessions, our focus is on encouraging positive change, deepening self-awareness, and supporting personal growth—ultimately helping our clients enhance their overall quality of life.

MaraLyn Therapy was co-founded by Maral Malekian, LMFT, and Lynda Herrera, LMFT—two experienced clinicians dedicated to providing compassionate, high quality care.

Maral Malekian, LMFT, has been practicing since 2005, working with children, adults, couples, and families. Her clinical focus centers on helping clients process trauma and navigate anxiety-related symptoms. She is nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has extensive experience supporting individuals impacted by complex trauma. In addition to her clinical work, Maral is a clinical supervisor and has provided specialized training to fellow clinicians working with high-risk populations. Her therapeutic style emphasizes building self-worth, resilience, and self-compassion.

Lynda Herrera, LMFT, brings over 30 years of experience working with domestic violence survivors and high-risk communities. She is certified in working with high-risk and suicidal populations and has extensive experience facilitating men’s domestic violence groups, as well as addressing substance use and addiction. Lynda primarily works with children, adolescents, and families, incorporating creative and developmentally appropriate play-based techniques into her sessions. As a supervising clinician, she is passionate about mentoring and supporting other therapists in strengthening their clinical skills.

Together, Maral and Lynda bring depth, expertise, and a shared commitment to fostering healing, growth, and lasting change for the individuals and families they serve.
